The Galbut Institute is pleased to present Destination Dispatch, an exhibition of 4 recent paintings by the artist Jason Galbut. Galbut's newest works contain sumptuous layers of oil paint, metallic leaf, acrylic, and linen on canvas. Extravagant systems of form and color contain a wide range of physical textures. Several works feature an elaborate network of linen straps composed across spacious surfaces. Canvas is cut, rolled and threaded or flipped over to create envelopes for the application of shimmering paint.
